All Saints on Hall Grove was seen by the Streetview van in 2008 (here) and 2018 (here) before its demolition and replacement by a Parish Centre (at left) and housing, seen here in 2020. This source dates it to 1961, closing in 1974, and re-opening again in 2007. TL 2558 1167. A short 2018 news item regarding the (then) proposed demolition.

Alliance Church (Christian Missionary Alliance) on Hazel Grove was seen by Streetview in 2009. TL 2600 1339. Link.

Christchurch (Baptist) on Barleycroft Road and Parkway, as seen by Streetview in 2020. This source has some photos, including the interior. TL 2342 1250. Link. It had an offshoot in 2012 when Peartree Baptist was established on Broadwater Road, in a former commercial or office building. It was seen by Streetview in 2014 and 2015, but it had been demolished by or during 2016. TL 2416 1245. Christian Science Church (1971) on Parkway, seen by Streetview in 2009. TL 2342 1250. Link.

Christian Spiritualist Church on Marsden Green. It was seen by Streetview in 2008. TL 2294 1196. Link.

The Congregational Church on Woodhall Lane is now in use as a nursery. It was seen by Streetview in 2010, when still the church. The congregation has merged with what was at the time the Free Church on Church Road, now re-named as a United Free Church (see entry below). TL 2434 1177.

Fountain of Life (Redeemed Christian Church of God) on Howardsgate, as seen by Streetview in 2020. TL 2370 1301. Link.

A Friends' (Quaker) Meeting House stands on Handside Lane. It was seen by Streetview in 2018 here and here. TL 2315 1262. Link.

Herts International Church (Salvation for the Nations) on Mundells. Streetview saw it in 2020, here and here. TL 2506 1380. Link.

Holy Family (R.C., 1967) on Shoplands was seen by Streetview in 2016. TL 2392 1453. Church website, and history.

Howlands Baptist Church on The Commons, Hatfield Hyde, was seen by Streetview in 2008 and 2018. Map evidence suggests it dates from the later 1960's or 1970's. TL 2584 1115. Link.

Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Crookhams. Streetview saw it in 2016. TL 2525 1390.

Ludwick Way Methodist Church was seen by Streetview in 2014. More photos, including the interior, are available here. TL 2478 1191. The church website also has a photo.

New Zion Christian Fellowship (since 1998) on Cole Green Lane, as seen by Streetview in 2016, was previously known as Marley Hall when the Christian Brethren met there. According to the church website, the Fellowship had previously met in a community centre. TL 2520 1173.

Our Lady, Queen of Apostles (R.C., 1959-61) on Woodhall Lane was seen by the Streetview van in 2010. Numerous exterior and interior photos are available here. TL 2443 1180. Church website, and history page.

Panshanger Church (Ecumenical) on Hardings, as seen by Streetview in 2017. TL 2610 1310. Link.

St. Bonaventure (R.C., 1926) on Parkway, as seen by Streetview in 2020. TL 2352 1254. Link, and history page.

St. Francis of Assisi (Anglican) on Church Road, seen by Streetview in 2020. TL 2352 1284. Link.

St. John the Evangelist on Monks Rise, Digswell. It was seen by Streetview in 2010 and (distantly) in 2009. The unlovely concrete extension of 1960-2 can be seen here. TL 2380 1485. Link. Grade II listed.

St. Mary Magdalene (1883) on Hollybush Lane, Hatfield Hyde, was seen by Streetview in 2016. Many more photos (exterior and interior) are available here. TL 2460 1120. Link, with a history here.

The former St. Michael and All Angels (circa 1930-1980 now serves as a day centre. It was seen by Streetview in 2014 and 2006. TL 2469 1216. Some history here.

Streetview passed by the Salvation Army church on Cole Green Lane in 2010. TL 2447 1183. Link. There was also a Salvation Army Hall on Longcroft Green, at TL 2364 1203. So labelled on maps of from 1938, the latest to do so is from 1972-87. Demolished by 2009, when the Streetview saw the site, it stood roughly where the cream garage door can be seen.

The U.R.C. on Church Road, dating from circa 1930, was previously called Free Church, and was re-named following the merger with the congregation from the Congregational Church on Woodhall Lane (for which, see above) in 2014. Streetview saw it in 2018. TL 2363 1283.

Welwyn Garden City Hebrew Congregation Synagogue (1955) stands behind the Friends' Meeting House on Handside Lane at TL 2319 1262. Although not seen by Streetview, photos are available on the synagogue website.
