An Associated Presbyterian Church (2009 Streetview) stands on Keith Street at NB 4244 3307. It's dated here to 1995. Wikipedia article on the Associated Presbyterians.

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is on Newton Street, and was seen by Streetview in 2024. NB 4270 3249. Link.

The Free Church on the east side of Kenneth Street,  as seen in a Streetview from 2024. NB 4242 3291. Link. The history page dates it to 1854, replacing an earlier church of 1845 which had been destroyed in a fire in 1850. Category C listed, wherein it's dated to 1843.

The Free Church (Continuing) stands on Sandwick Road at NB 4419 3246. The church website dates  it to 2004. Streetview saw it in 2022.

Free Presbyterian Church (2009 Streetview) stands at the junction of Scotland Street and Matheson Road at NB 4263 3313. Link dates it to 1899. Category B listed.

A Gospel Hall (2024 Streetview) stands on Bayhead at NB 4248 3335.

Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (2024 Streetview) on Perceval Road South. Other Streetviews show it to have been built after 2009 and before 2022. NB 4300 3385. The general  history given towards the top of this page mentions an earlier Kingdom Hall on Church Street, opened in 1958. It survives and was seen by Streetview in 2009. NB 4245 3300.

Martin’s Memorial Church (CoS) stands on Kenneth Street and Francis Street at NB 4241 3281, and was seen by Streetview in 2022. It pre-dates a map surveyed in 1895. Link. Wikipedia. Category B listed - dates it to the last decade of the 19th century, though POWIS says 1876-8, as an English Free Church.

Our Holy Redeemer (R.C.)  - 2024 Streetview - is set back on the east side of Kenneth Street at NB 4238 3308. There is also access from Scotland Street. Dated here to 2005 to 2007, a news item from 2004 records the destruction of its predecessor in a fire, and dates its building to 1991. A map of 1965 shows a yet earlier Church on the same site - no doubt this was an earlier predecessor, and is likely to have been the temporary tin building mentioned in the general history site at the top of the page. St. Columba (CoS) stands at the south-east side of Church Street and Lewis Street, at NB 4257 3299. Two 2024 Streetviews - 1, 2. Facebook. POWIS. Category B listed - dates it originally to 1794, with much later repairing, re-modelling and additions. What if anything of the original is left is unclear.

St. Peter (Scottish Episcopal) stands at the south-west corner of Francis Street and Matheson Street, at NB 4265 3285. A 2009 Streetview. Link. Category B listed - says 1839.

The Salvation Army is present on Bayhead, at NB 4252 3350 - 2024 Streetview.

Stornoway High Church (CoS) as seen by Streetview in 2024. It stands at the junction of Rathad Chnoc Nan Goghar (Goathill Road on older maps) and Matheson Road. NB 4269 3306. Link. Category B listed, where it's dated to the 19th century, though its Wikipedia entry says 1909.

Stornoway Masjid (2024 Streetview), on the north side of James Street, adjoining the former U.P., for which see below. A 2018 news article tells of its opening ceremony. NB 4257 3273. Facebook.

The former U.P. Church on the north side of James Street and Lewis Street, as seen by Streetview in 2009. The Wikipedia article for Martin's Memorial Church says that the U.P. church was closed in 1913. NB 4258 3273.
