All Saints on The Oval, Vardon Road, was opened in 1974 (source). Numerous photos, interior and exterior, are available here. Circa TL 254 261. Link.

Previously a pub, the Bangladeshi Mosque on Albert Street is a recent change of use (post-2010). The pre-conversion pub was seen by Streetview in 2009, and as the mosque, in 2020. Bunyan Baptist Church on Basil's Road, as seen by Streetview in 2020. It dates from the first quarter of the last century. TL 2346 2525. Link.

Christ the King on Filey Close, Symond's Green. Sources differ as to its affiliation and date, but it was either built in the mid-1970's, or consecrated in 1982 (though the two are not mutually exclusive), and home to Church of England, Catholic, and U.R.C. congregations, CoE and U.R.C., or CoE only. Its ACNY entry favours the CoE and U.R.C. option. It can be seen on a Streetview from 2018. TL 2242 2537.

Church of the Transfiguration (R.C.) on Grove Street, as seen by Streetview in 2020. TL 2347 2518. Link. (The history here dates it to 1913-14, and has an old photo of the church with its original frontage).

City of David (Redeemed Christian Church of God) stands on Danestreete, and was seen by Streetview in 2018. It is their second property in only a few years, as Streetview also saw an earlier building just a few yards away in 2015. TL 2375 2400. Link.

The Coptic Cathedral (2006) on Broadhall Way is dedicated to St. George. Several photos are available here. This source advises that this is one of only two Coptic Cathedrals in Western Europe. TL 2542 2238.

Elim Pentecostal Church meets in St. Nicholas Community Centre on Canterbury Way. It was seen by Streetview in 2009. TL 2505 2670. Link.

The Friend's Meeting House on Cuttys Lane was seen by Streetview in 2009. TL 2414 2410. Link.

Grace Community Church (from 2004) was originally Hydean Way Baptist Church (link), which merged with City Church. Streetview saw it in 2010. TL 2532 2305. Link.

Great Ashby Community Church meets in Great Ashby Community Centre on Great Ashby Way, seen by Streetview in 2016 here and here. TL 2584 2731. Link.

The now-demolished Grove Hall was home to an Assembly of God congregation, but was disused when the Streetview van saw it in 2009. It has since been replaced by housing. TL 2358 2522.

Holy Trinity Church on High Street, as seen by Streetview in 2020. Its grade II listing dates it to 1861-2, with later additions; a Blomfield church. TL 2348 2484. Link.

The former Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses stands very close to, and north-east of, All Saints. A 2018 Streetview provides a distant view of it (the dark brown weather-boarded building seen above the no entry sign). An Estate Agent's notice has more views, interior and exterior. TL 2538 2608.

Longmeadow Evangelical Free Church stands on the west side of Oaks Cross. It was seen by Streetview in 2018. TL 2591 2222. Link.

The Methodist Church stands on Sish Lane and High Street, a short distance south of Holy Trinity. It was built as Wesleyan, and pre-dates a map of 1881. Two Streetviews from 2020 - 1, 2. TL 2348 2478. Link. Oak Church (a CoE plant from Soul Survivor Watford in 2015) also meets here. Link.

Mountain of Fire and Miracles (Nigerian Pentecostal) on The Oval. The best that Streetview can provide is a distant view here from 2009 - the church will be in one of the buildings at the back of the car park. Link.

New Testament Church of God meets on the south side of Broadwater Lane at TL 2608 2217. It was seen (distantly) by Streetview in 2009.

A Particular Baptist Chapel stood on Albert Street at TL 2346 2512. Its site was seen by Streetview in 2020.

The Plymouth Brethren meet in Stanmore Hall on Basils Road. It was glimpsed by the Streetview van in 2014. TL 2366 2531.

Redeemed Christian Church of God is on Vardon Road, and was seen distantly by Streetview in 2018, where it stands amongst the red-brick buildings in the central background. Link. The "about us" page dates its foundation to 2005. The H.Q. of the R.C.C.G. is Redemption House on Gunnels Wood Road, which was seen by Streetview in 2020. TL 2372 2310.

The demolished St. Andrew (1955) stood at the corner of Bedwell Crescent and Abbots Grove. Photos are available here and here. Following closure, the congregation merged with that of St. George in 1984. Subsequently demolished, housing was built on the site, as seen here by Streetview in 2020. TL 2458 2412.

St. George (on St. George's Way) was seen by the Streetview van in 2020 and 2009. It was re-dedicated as St. Andrew and St. George in 1984, following the closure  of St. Andrew. It's dated in its grade II listing to 1956-60, and the church website history page says it's the largest parish church to have been built since WWII. TL 2403 2410.

St. Hilda (R.C.) is on Hydean Way at TL 2610 2305, and was seen by Streetview in 2012. This source (several photos) dates it to 1961-2, and confirmed here. Link.

St. Hugh and St. John is on Mobbsbury Way at TL 2594 2502, and was seen by Streetview in 2009. It was originally just St. Hugh, and the reasons for the name change can be found here, where the building is dated to 1965. It also says that the congregation was founded in 1960, and their first home was a garage on Pankhurst Crescent. Link. Some interior and exterior photos can be seen here.

The former St. John (Methodist) stands on Chells Way at TL 2603 2487, and was seen by Streetview in 2020. It's dated here to 1964, but some time after the congregation joined with St. Hugh in 1975, St. John's was sold off (source). Before St. John's was built, the congregation met in a house, off Chells Way, at TL 2573 2526. If it survives, it's not visible from the Streetview van, but what seems to have been the access to it was seen - here, in 2009.

St. Joseph (R.C.) on Bedwell Crescent was seen by Streetview in 2020. According to this source, it dates originally from 1957, but only the tower survives from then, the rest re-built in the 1980's, with further work in 2016-17. TL 2516 2471.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sleafs Hyde was previously a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses - seen here on a Streetview from 2009. The change of ownership must have been fairly recent, as it retained the earlier signage at least until 2017 (Streetview). TL 2606 2207.

Stevenage Muslim Community Centre stands off Vardon Road at TL 2516 2573. It was distantly seen by Streetview in 2009. Link.

The Whomerley Spiritual Centre is advertised as being in or behind Gladstone Court on Spring Drive. I've "travelled" round Gladstone Court on Streetview, but can't see any signs for it. Here's a Streetview of Gladstone Court itself. TL 2545 2189.

U.R.C. (originally Congregational) on Cutty's Lane, as seen by Streetview in 2020. Maps date it to the early 1960's. TL 2442 2420. Link.

Vineyard Fellowship meets in The Nobel School on Mobbsbury Way (2017 Streetview, TL 2609 2523), and previously in Thomas Alleynes School on The Grange (2020 Streetview). Their HQ is on Cockerell Close at TL 2291 2461 - 2020 Streetview. Link.
