Older maps show a Wesleyan Methodist Chapel on the south side of Essex Way at TQ 7795 8606. It pre-dated a map of 1897, and seems to have gone out of use in the mid-20th century. It hasn't survived - its site was seen by Streetview in 2023. A photo of it can be seen here, where it's dated to 1877.
