Holy Trinity (1852-3). TQ 0827 9178. From an old postcard (franked 1909) in Steve Bulman's Collection. The church has a stained glass window by Edward Burne-Jones, installed in 1886 or 1887 (sources differ). Link. Modern exterior and interior photos are available here. Grade II listing, which details the addition of the north aisle in the mid-1890's, and the addition of the south aisle, and lengthening of the nave, in 1927.
Previously on the Unknown page, Alan Regin had asked for help in identifying two, or possibly three churches. Taken by Charles Cole, a bell-ringer, who died in the 1940's. There are nearly three hundred church images, but only these remain unidentified, which Alan believes were taken circa 1912. The identified churches have a wide geographical scatter, but mostly from the southern half of England. One of the churches has now been identified by Simon Davies as Holy Trinity at Northwood in Middlesex. Comparing the mystery photo with a 2012 Streetview is enough to convince. Alan, I tried to email you, but the email address I have for you is no longer working.
