Methodist Church on King Street, built as Primitive Methodist (1862). The left part of the building was added as a Sunday School (Sabbath School, as the plaque has it) in 1883. SO 6216 9992. © Dennis Harper (2012). Link.

The cemetery on Bridgnorth Road has a Mortuary Chapel. SO 6233 9948. © Chris Kippin (2021).

The BHO advises of a Catholic church of St. Mary Magdalene on Barrow Street from 1955, successor to an earlier chapel (1935, in a pre-existing building) on Sheinton Street. Chris Kippin understands that the Barrow Street building was demolished in 2008 - I haven't been able to locate a photo of either.

The Salvation Army is known to have had a presence in the town in the late 1880's. A local informant suggested that they may have met in the Corn Exchange (now the town library) on High Street, which is known to have rented out rooms. Can you confirm if this is indeed the case? © Rob Kinnon-Brettle (2022).

The remains of Wenlock Priory. SO 6248 0009. © John Bowdler. Another view, © Simon Edwards (2011). The following two images are taken from an album dateable to circa 1893, in Christopher Skottowe's Collection - 1, 2. Link. Grade I listed.

Older maps mark a Wesleyan Methodist Chapel off Sheinton Street, at SO 6225 0007. This source provides dates of "by 1825" to 1960. It also says that it survives as Wenlock Pottery. It's possibly the building with the round window seen here in a Streetview from 2021.

A curious building stands at the junction of Racecourse Road and St. Mary's Road. It does have a churchy feel to it, but a Geograph entry describes it as the "Old Toll House". Was it also a church at one time? SO 6236 9977. © Rob Kinnon-Brettle (2022).
