Christ Church once stood on Crendon Street, at SU 8679 9297. There appears to be remarkably little information about it on-line, but a photo is available here. Although it doesn't explicitly say so, one may reasonably accept dates of 1874-1914. A block of commercial properties now stands on the site, as seen here in a Streetview from 2020.

Old maps show a Congregational Chapel on Crendon Street at SU 8677 9302. Pre-dating a map of 1875-6, it seems to have survived into the later 1920's or the 1930's. It's site, somewhere among the commercial properties on the right, and this side of the lamp-post, can be seen in a Streetview from 2020.
