Baptist Church on Market Place. SU 7591 8257. © Chris Kippin (2021). Link.

Christ Church (U.R.C.) on Reading Road. Older maps label it as Congregational. Its grade II listing dates it to 1907. The adjacent church hall is also grade II listed. SU 7617 8231. © Chris Kippin (2021). Link. It was presumably successor to the church labelled as Independent on old maps, a few yards further north, roughly on a north-south alignment. It preceded a map of 1879, and had vanished by the time of a map of 1913. A Streetview of 2019 shows the site. SU 7617 8237.

Holy Trinity (1848) on Greys Hill. Another view. The former Sunday School a little way along the road could easily be taken for a church. SU 7595 8225. All © Chris Kippin (2021). Link. Grade II listed.

Sacred Heart (R.C.) on Vicarage Road. Two additional views - 1, 2. SU 7624 8178. All © Chris Kippin (2021). Link.

St. Mary the Virgin on Hart Street. SU 7627 8267. From an old postcard (franked 1909) in Steve Bulman's Collection. Two modern views, 1, 2. Both © Mike Rice. Link. Grade II* listed.
