Chasetown
Chasetown Methodist Church on Queens Drive and Lawnswood Avenue. It's dated here to 1977. SK 0480 0822. © Bruce Read. Link.

The demolished Primitive Methodist Chapel on High Street at SK 0453 0845. It's called Zion's Hill P.M. Chapel here, where it's dated to 1866, closed in 1970, and was in commercial use at least up to 1986. Streetview saw the house on its site in 2024, and also the adjacent Ensor House, which may have been the chapel's hall. © Bruce Read.

St. Anne on Church Street. SK 0435 0801. © Bruce Read. Another view, and an interior view, both © Dennis Harper (2004). Link. Grade II* listed, wherein it's dated to 1865.

The site of the demolished Wesleyan Methodist Chapel on High Street, as seen by Streetview in 2024. Photos of the chapel can be seen here, where it's dated to 1884, replacing a smaller chapel of 1864. SK 0453 0808. It also says that the Wesleyans had previously met in a room in the Queen's Hotel on Queen Street. I think it stood at the corner of what is now Edwards Road -  the housing on the site was seen by Streetview in 2024. SK 0471 0823.

The now-demolished St. Joseph (R.C.) on New Street. This source dates it to 1883, and it was demolished at some point after the St. Joseph on Cannock Road was opened. Its site is now a car park, seen by Streetview in 2024. SK 0452 0831. © Bruce Read.
