The Baptist Church on Twyford Road, as seen by Streetview in 2023. TL 4932 2020. The church website history page dates it to 2012. Its predecessor stands on Newtown Road at TL 4880 2100. It was seen by Streetview in 2020. The history page already referred to infers a date of 1899, when it replaced an earlier chapel on the same site of 1819. It also says that they met in Bishop's Stortford High School between 2000 and 2012. The entrance to the site can be seen in a Streetview from 2021. Link. Herts and Essex Mosque off Southmill Road. The cemetery on Apton Road has two identical Mortuary Chapels. The more westerly (TL 4858 2069) is labelled on large scale O.S. maps as Nonconformist, the other at TL 4862 2069 as Church of England.
