The 1920 25" O.S. map shows a Chap. on Upper High Street at ST 1503 9992. This can be identified from its Coflein entry as Bethania Methodist Chapel, of 1901, a re-build of the original of 1878. There's now a car park on its site (2009 Streetview).

Calfaria Welsh Independent Church on Greenfield Street. It has a date-stone for 1910, but Coflein dates it to 1874. ST 1508 9961. © Gerard Charmley (2011). It's possible that the 1910 date is the correct one since the 6" O.S. map of 1901 shows another Capel Calfaria on High Street at ST 1510 9984. Could this be the 1874 church? In any event, it has been demolished, and a shop now stands on the site (Peacocks, in a Streetview from 2022).

A Congregational Church is shown on a 1919 O.S. map on Cardiff Road at ST 1502 9930. Its Coflein entry describes it as Trinity English Independent Chapel. Streetview saw it in 2022, and the symbol on the wall suggests it's now a Masonic Hall.

Ebenezer Gospel Hall is (or stands on the site of) a Baptist Chapel, shown on older O.S. maps on Park Road at ST 1493 9961.

The 25" O.S. map from 1920 marks a Church on South Street at ST 1493 9968. I've been unable to discover anything about it, but it had been replaced by a surgery by the time of the first Streetview visit in 2009.

The former Hanbury Baptist Church on Hanbury Road, undergoing conversion. Dated in its Coflein entry to 1906, it can be better seen in a Streetview from 2021. ST 1517 9973. © Gerard Charmley (2011).

The derelict former Mission Church on Heolddu Road and Greenfield Street. (By 2017 it had been converted to residential use - Streetview). ST 1495 9989. © Gerard Charmley (2011). This seems to be the same building described by Genuki as Providence Chapel (Elim).

St. Gwladys, on Church Place. Its Coflein entry dates it to two stages, 1877-9 and 1893-4.  ST 1503 9999. © Gerard Charmley (2011). Link.

St. Peter's on the Graig (R.C.) on Usk Road and Graig Terrace is dated by Coflein to 1903. ST 1491 0016. © Gerard Charmley (2011). Link.

Salvation Army Hall on Greenfield Street and Upper Capel Street. ST 1501 9970. © Gerard Charmley (2011).

A former Wesleyan Methodist Chapel (2022 Streetview) stands on Wood Street. It pre-dates a map of 1919. ST 1501 9947.
