Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Maldon Road and Pantile Close, as seen by Streetview in 2024. TL 8240 1320. Link.

Older O.S. maps show a Friends' Meeting House on Maldon Road at TL 8229 1437. This source says it had been built by 1809, but "abandoned" at some point after 1875 - and was subsequently home to the Salvation Army, Peculiar People (and possibly others) until it was eventually sold in 1953, with structural problems. Evidently demolished, the building on its site today was seen by Streetview in 2023.

Guithavon Valley Evangelical Church (on Guithavon Valley) is dated 1932. 2018 Streetview. TL 8173 1461. Link.

Holy Family and All Saints (R.C.) on Guithavon Street, as seen by Streetview in 2018. The church website history page says this was originally All Saints (Anglican), and dated to 1842-1969. After two decades it re-opened as the present church in 1989. TL 8193 1459. Link. Grade II listed. An earlier R.C. Chapel (2009 Streetview) shows on a map of 1880 on Newland Street and Avenue Road at TL 8244 1496. Google gives no indication of its present usage, so it may well have been converted to residential use.

An Independent/Congregational/U.R.C. (2023 Streetview) stands set back from Newland Street, at TL 8199 1443. Its date-stone declares itself to have been re-built in 1840. I haven't been able to find a date for its predecessor. Link. Grade II listed.

Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (2023 Streetview) on Windsor Close. TL 8160 1392.

The Methodist Church (2018 Streetview) is on Guithavon Street. The older part of the building to the right is the original Wesleyan Chapel. It seems to pre-date a map of 1881, though it isn't labelled. It probably pre-dates 1867 - see here where Witham Wesleyan is included on a list. TL 8186 1454. Link.
