The photographically uncooperative former Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, on Chapel Street. The first Wesleyan chapel in Syston, it was built in 1797. When the congregation moved into what is now Syston Methodist Church (for which see above) in 1890, the old chapel continued in use as a Sunday School for many years, until finally sold in 1962. It's now SARIC (Syston Arts and Recreation in the Community). Another view. SK 625 117. Both © Sally Portsmouth (2018).
