The former Carmelite Chapel on Church Square. Pevsner has this as the house of the Friars of the Sack. TQ 9213 2024. From a postcard in the Kevin Gordon Collection. A modern view, © Steve Bulman (2009). Grade II listed.

Old maps show a Congregational Chapel on Conduit Hill at TQ 9215 2052. Not well seen on Streetview, a photo can be seen on Genuki, where it's dated to 1882-1973.

Methodist Church on Church Square. TQ 9220 2027. © Dave Westrap. According to this history page, the present building was originally the Sunday School, both it and the original 1814 Wesleyan Chapel (of which there is a photo) suffering from bomb damage in WWII. The former Wesleyan site was sold, the school refurbished, and reopened as the church in 1954. It stood at TQ 9223 2030. It seems from the church website that the congregation currently (2025) worships at the St. Mary's Centre (2019 Streetview) on Lion Street, so perhaps the church at the top of this entry is no longer used.

St. Anthony of Padua (R.C.) on Watchbell Street. TQ 9206 2019. © Dave Westrap. Link.

St. Mary (O). TQ 9214 2030. From an old postcard in Steve Bulman's Collection. Two further views - 1, 2 - both from Reg Dosell's postcard collection. A modern view, © Dave Westrap. An old postcard (from Reg Dosell's Collection) shows the clock. Another modern photo showing the clock, and the flying buttresses at the East end, both © Steve Bulman (2009). Interior view, and a window, both © Steve Bulman (2009). Another interior view, © Simon Edwards. Link. Grade I listed. The churchyard war memorial is also listed, at grade II.
