Elim Church on Middlebridge Street. SU 3521 2095. It's marked on the 25" O.S. map of 1909 as "Chap." This was originally Primitive Methodist, dated here to 1895, successor to an earlier chapel (1845, re-built 1868, closed 1895) on The Hundred. There's a photo of the earlier chapel on the same web-page, from 1989, but I haven't been able to locate it on a map or on Streetview, so it may have gone. © Chris Kippin (2020). Link.

Methodist Church (1881-2) on The Hundred. SU 3553 2112. © Andrew Ross. Link.

The cemetery on Botley Road has two former Mortuary Chapels. The Church of England Chapel is at SU 3664 2115, and the Nonconformist is at SU 3659 2112. Its grade II listing dates it to circa 1850. Both © Chris Kippin (2022).

The former Romsey Union Workhouse on Winchester Hill had a Chapel, at SU 3624 2154. Its site can be seen in a Streetview of 2021. I think it can be seen in the first photo here, directly above the shed, and in the next photo at the right hand edge.

St. Mary and St. Etheldreda. SU 3510 2126. From an old postcard in Steve Bulman's Collection. Originally the Abbey, it now serves as the parish church. A modern view, © Dave Westrap. This photo (© Teunis Verweij), shows some internal architectural details. Three more views - 1, 2, 3, a crucifixion, and carved heads above zigzag doorway surrounds - 1, 2, all © Christopher Skottowe (1965), and from his postcard collection, another view, the interior, a superb column capital, a C16 painted reredos, and another crucifixion carving. Link. Grade I listed.

St. Swithun at Crampmoor. It's dated on the church website to 1927. SU 3753 2213. © Chris Kippin (2022). Link.

U.R.C. on The Abbey. SU 3515 2113. © Chris Kippin (2020). Grade II listed, wherein it's dated to 1886-8.
