The Churches of Britain and Ireland
Pwllheli, Gwynedd Capel Y Drindod seems to consist of at least 2 buildings around an open courtyard. The first looks Victorian, the second perhaps more recent. An inscribed stone looks informative for a Welsh speaker - a translation would be welcome! A name plate displays a date of 1997 - to what does this refer? SH 377 352. All © Dennis Harper (2013). English Presbyterian Church on Ala Road. Another view. SH 373 350. Both © Dennis Harper (2013). The former Methodist Church. SH 375 352. © Dennis Harper (2013). Penlan Welsh Independent Chapel (1863, though the notice board indicates a date of 1646 for the original building). Another view, and four interiors - 1, 2, 3, 4 of this handsome chapel. SH 374 351. All © Dennis Harper (2013). Link. The former Salem Calvinistic Methodist Chapel (1862) on Church Place. Just visible at the back of the chapel is this annex. SH 373 3352. © Dennis Harper (2013). Another view, the slate name-plaque, an interior view, the altar, and the font, all © Dennis Harper (2013). Although previously listed as a possible former church, the building was North Street Independent Sunday School. Another view. SH 377 354. Both © Dennis Harper (2013).
