Although previously listed as a probable former Methodist Church in Ball Green, Janet Gimber's researches suggest that this was never a church. But can you offer an explanation for why it looks the way it does? It's located at the junction of Whitfield Road and Bemersley Road. There was a chapel nearby, more or less opposite the junction of Wilding Road and Cowen Street. Dating from 1870, it appears to have demolished between 1900 and 1925. St. John (Methodist).
