The Methodist Church (Wesleyan, 1849). SO 7099 3800. According to a 2019 newspaper report, the congregation would soon vacate the church, and be looking for a new permanent home. In the meanwhile, the congregation would meet in Burgage Hall (see the U.R.C. below) and St Katherine’s Chapel. They are now in their new home on Bye Street. Both © Chris Kippin (2022).

The former U.R.C. on Church Lane is now known as Burgage Hall, and is grade II listed. It was built as Congregational in 1852, "but by the 1950's it had fallen into disuse". Restored in the mid 1980's, it now belongs to the Civic Society, and available for hire. There are photos of it on the Civic Society website. SO 7115 3770.
