The Churches of Britain and Ireland
Kingsbridge, Devon
The 25" map of 1906 shows a Chap. on Errington Street at SX 7358 4422. It had closed before 1936, when a map of that year labels the building as Hall. It or its site is to the right in the narrow alleyway seen in a Streetview from 2022. I haven't found any further information about it. Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses is shown on Google Streetmap as at 85A Fore Street. Here's the indicated building (2024 Streetview), confirmed by this website (scroll down for photo), but whether the church meets in the building shown or in another building along the alley is unclear. Kingsbridge Cemetery is near the coast, south of the town. It had a double Mortuary Chapel, CoE and Nonconformist. Aerial views show that they have been demolished, but their lower courses may remain as the walls seen here in a Streetview from 2022. SX 7432 4295. Kingsbridge Family Church on Baptist Lane. Kingsbridge Quaker Meeting is off Fore Street, down the alley seen in a Streetview from 2022. The building itself can be seen on their website. Kingsbridge Youth For Christ (2016 Streetview) on Fore Street. SX 7344 4458. Link. Methodist Church (1814) on Fore Street. This must be the same church as Ebenezer Wesleyan, mentioned by Genuki. Grade II listed. St. Edmund King and Martyr. Interior view and the Lady Chapel. SX 734 444. All © James Murray. An old postcard view, from Reg Dosell's Collection. Link. Grade I listed. St. Thomas of Canterbury on Church Street at Dodbrooke, as seen by Streetview in 2009. SX 7393 4452. Link. Grade I listed. For related listed features see here. South Hams Christian Fellowship, set back from Fore Street. SX 7348 4434. © James Murray. Link. Its grade II listing dates it to 1853, and has it as an Evangelical Church, and previously as a Brethren's Chapel.
