One, or possibly two vanished churches used to stand near the coast, south-west of Gretna. Red Kirk used to stand at Redkirk Point - in fact, if the O.S. maps are accurate, even the land it used to stand on has gone, eroded away by the sea. According to this source, "the church fell into the sea in 1675". NY 3009 6506. Further west, O.S. maps mark Church Yard (Site of) at NY 2890 6547. It may not have had a church (source). Neither site can be seen on Streetview.
