The original Providence Strict and Particular Baptist Chapel stood on Back Street at TL 1917 4453. Photos of it are available here, where it's dated to 1843-1987. The flats built on its site can be seen on a Streetview from 2018. The congregation then moved into a converted former telephone exchange across the road, seen here, and its interior, both © Gerard Charmley (2021).

The former Primitive Methodist Chapel on Shortmead Street has a date-stone for 1873. According to this source, it was later named Bourne Methodist Chapel, with closure in 1939. TL 1879 4503. © Gerard Charmley (2021).
